The old G5 Power Mac's were so heavy and cost so much, other than being one hell of a good looking case.
I bought my G5 a few months after it was discontinued , it had been setting on a shelf at CompUSA for a good while priced at $999.00. I ask for the manager and made him an offer of $700.00 after he made a few phone calls we completed the deal.
The only reason I replaced it was it would not run CS6, which I had already purchased.
I am getting to take it to the recycling center since it wouldn't accept my password one morning and I couldn't find my OS disc and didn't want to spend money on it.
I had replaced it with a 21" iMac and was only using it for documents and web browsing.

I may have gotten this from UHH originally so my apologies to whoever posted it before but it (IMO) is worth repeating.

An elderly couple went to a Chinese restaurant one evening. As they looked over the menu the woman mentioned there was a dish called Chicken Surprise. The husband told her by all means to try it if she liked, he would stay with his favorite, General Tso's Chicken.
The waiter came over and the couple gave him their order. Some time later, their meals arrived. The Chicken Surprise was presented in a dish covered with a metal dome. As the wife reached for the cover, it lifted up and two beady eyes looked out and the lid slammed down. The woman jumped back and exasperated, told her husband what had happened. He looked skeptical but also reached for the lid. As he did, it once again lifted and two beady eyes peered out, then the lid once again closed.
The husband called the waiter over and explained what had happened. The waiter looked at the order sheet and said "So sorry, I see you did order the Chicken Surprise, and I brought you Peking Duck".
