Very good exposure and composition; looks like you were in the wild with the animals.
Great images, sharp, well exposed and good composition. What equipment did you use?
forjava, did the cook at least wash his hands? Another George
Glib and sardonic, but mostly humorous. Just call me
George III
Great pictures resulting from a most skillful application of the photographic triad - exposure, focus and composition - to say nothing about the artful selection of subject matter.
A very good bit of portraiture as far as pose and lighting, but it appears that you used too short a focal length resulting in a bit of distortion like the lengthening of the profile. A 35mm equivalent of 90 to 105 mm is usually recommended.
Great portrait done in a classic mode. Also great model and expression. I like that softness while not affecting focus. Wanna tell us how you did it so's we can benefit from your expertise? Oh, yes, I prefer only one highlight in each eye - easy to remove.
It's definitely not a DE. I was part of the crew of a WWII DE, USS Earl V Johnson DE 702 from 1944 to 1946.
I agree with you, Quixdraw, this column has been a source of many good jokes and other humorous anecdotal material.
Great action shot with good composition, but too much depth of field; should have set wider aperture to soften background.
Very imaginative, stylish and artistic. Good show!
Great stuff; I sure would like to know what equipment and settings you used. Thanx
Your sincere complements appreciated, I spent three years in naval combat in WWII and am grateful for the Enemy's bad aim. Thanks
Huh, "Growing old is no more than a bad habit a busy person has no time to form," and "Growing old is inevitable; growing up is optional!"
The "machine" you're talking about is called an evaporator that boils sea water and condenses the steam under a vacuum to distilled water. I ran one on a Destroyer during WWII. FYI distilled water has no flavor and leaves your mouth with a dry feeling, always thirsty!
