No, I'm complaining because my package was not delivered. The USPS employee claimed that the business (where my packages are sent) was closed, and according to him/her, it was 9:30 yesterday (Saturday) morning. The only problem was that the business was NOT closed, it opened at 8AM, and had four employees there. Once again, an employee of USPS has lied, and caught yet again.

WAIT. Reading Tamsey in Texas, reminded me to tell you all to NOT mail any checks, ever!! Several months ago, I was introduced to "Washed Checks". I wrote a check for $110.00 to an ankle service, and learned that they never received it. Then my bank informed me that I ""wrote"" a check for $4,200. Someone got their hands on that check I wrote, and put into the USPS system. They "washed" the payee and the dollar amounts, up to $4,200. My bank is the one that caught it. They told me to come in, and they will close all of my accounts, including credit and debits cards. Then they would open new accounts for me, to include new debit and credit cards. My bank is so good that before we even completed that process right in the bank, they were notified that the Fraud Department has deposited $4,200 back into my account. They then told me they experience "washed check" at the rate of one a week. As a result, we refuse to write another check, EVER. And yes, there is a way to get around those companies that want to be paid by check.

So, don't write another check. Protect yourself.

Two thoughts. You live in Canada, so maybe the postal system operates far better. Second, I know there outstanding employees within the USPS. To bad there are not more of them.

Yes, I learned that if I were to wait until February, then I could get a "copy" of my W2 that way. Still, knowing that courtesy of USPS, my original W2 is not with me. Where is it?

Like you, I've converted all our billing to paperless. I thought the "worse" would have been eliminated. Then, when tax information was mailed out, I learned that my Social Security W2 was never delivered. Never!! I wonder who has it now, along with all the vital information important to me?

Thank you USPS!!

Since there is now a discussion about UPS, let me give you just one example of how bad USPS is in St. Louis.

I have all my packages delivered to an independent owned hardware store, hence avoiding Porch Pirates. One package to be delivered Saturday by USPS was never delivered. They claim the store was closed during their attempted delivery at 9:30. Interesting since the store was opened at 8AM, and staffed by four employees.

That is typical of USPS here. Maybe it is better where you live.

Only a couple times a week? I'm getting them a couple times an hour. I even do the "unscribe" thing, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Am I the only one who receives, several times a day, spam email, from sources I never use? Or, worse from popular companies as in Home Depot, who offer a "gift" for answering some questions?

You are correct, that book IS excellent. I just want to keep moving forward. After about 10/15 years of studying Photoshop, it was nice to have learned about everything the program had right up to the CC movement. I want to do the same thing with Affinity Photo.

Thank you Beowulf. Those book printing service are informative, but not what I'm looking for.

Affinity actually sells a red cover Affinity Photo book, which I've purchased. An excellent starter book. But I'm looking for a very detailed print book.

Over a ten year period, I've purchased more than 12 soft cover Photoshop books. Between the twelve, I've learned a great deal about Photoshop, which by they way, offer hints that are transferrable to Affinity Photo. So I'm wanting to learn Affinity Photo, via print books, so I learn all that is possible with Affinity Photo.

I am the biggest fan of Affinity Photo. Now it's time for me to learn all the quiet in's and out's. I don't want to sit at the computer viewing Video Shows, but rather I'm wanting a (old fashioned?) paper book. Anyone have suggestions? And thanks.

Beautiful shots of Rome. We've been fortunate in going there, actually more than once. But on the first visit, I captured an image of the Trevi Fountain. I had it converted into (ready for this?) a 4' by 6' wrapped canvas image. So happy I was able to capture it.

I think you have just given a good reason to keep what works for us.
