Welcome. Sorry it has started out rocky. People on the forum are suspicious of new members that sell right away without prior participation. And people here buy more readily from those they know. That's just the way it is. Anyway, you will do much better if you at least take one quick pic of each item for sale. You will probably need to do at least that no matter where you sell so this as good time as any to get it done. Good luck and reconsider participating with us. Most are friendly people.

I bought two Canon cameras from Best Buy online, the first one was the EOS7D that I picked up in the store (already prepaid) and the second one (80D) delivered to the house due to the video kit (they did not carry this in the store but could pay for it there and have delivered). The thing about delivery was no ring, no knock - just put on the front porch and I got an email a few minutes later that it was delivered. I didn't hear a thing and neither did our two dogs. For that much money it seemed like they would require a signature.

Another avenue is Canon direct. I got my R5 from B&H with the 24-105. I then wanted the 100-500 and the 800 f/11. It was taking weeks with no end in sight. I finally went to Canon's website, ordered both of these with the 2x extender and they were all in stock. I canceled the order at B&H and got the lenses from Canon within a week.

I have had the same experience at CanonUSA. That's the first place I go to order gear. But their website said they were backordered too. For some reason the R7 I ordered at Best Buy was not available for delivery so I picked it up at the local store.

Excellent! Thinking outside the box. When I bought a camera a while back, body and kits lens were all that were available. I didn't need the lens, so I sold it.

That did cross my mind too

[quote=ncribble]I guess I was lucky as when I place my order with B&H mine was shipped on the original release date. I too received the 18 -150 lens and on this body, it becomes 28-240 which I'm finding to be an excellent lens, covering the perfect distance for a carry around package. I do believe the lens is going to surprise you. I've added an EF 10-22 (16-35) and have an RF 100-400 on order. I'm rather excited by this combination and all light enough to carry.

Keep Shooting,[/quote

Appreciate you input! I will be downloading first images with that combination today. Images looked good in the VF- hope they look as good on the computer. I agree that it is a compact and lightweight combination that has possibilities.

I was on the waiting list for the R7 camera and nothing much was happening. So after waiting for 3 weeks I called one place to check the status and was told I was number 30 on the list. That didn't sound too bad until customer service also mentioned that they were only getting 6-7 units a month.

So I checked around and found everywhere I looked that the camera body only was backordered- no surprise. However in checking around I found that a few kits were available rather than body only. And Best Buy had one. Within a week my order was fulfilled. PS- Best Buy is not the place to buy a cameras unless you are sure you want it as they have a 15% restock fee for returns (does not apply to a defective camera).

I am only mentioning this as a possible option to those that are tired of waiting and don't mind paying more for the kit which includes the 18-150 mm lens. Would I buy this lens independent of the camera- not likely but it is a small, lightweight, responsive lens.

Loved looking at these. I noted that birds doing what birds do (besides perching) in the right light and environmental conditions get the attention. And rightly so. Being in the right place at the right time and lots of luck doesn't hurt either. Thanks for posting.

Charles, You are right on course for an excellent light rig. I made this same move 18 months ago to the RP and 24 105 4-7.1 and would never go back. At one time all my lens had to be 'L', but not now. Hang the RP and lens around me neck with an Op/Tech sling and I'm good for at least a half a day. Most importantly the images are great.

I just last week received the R7 and order it primarily because of the IBIS and for bird shooting. I've the 16mm and the 24 150 to work with the R7, and will probably add the RF 100 400, also a light lens.

The jury will be still out or a while to see is if this combination is better or not. For background I just turned 89 on the 4th. Keep a Shooting youngster.

I shoot mainly landscapes, flowers and the occasional bird. Am 81 years old and camera handling and weight is becoming an issue for me.

All set to buy a Canon RP mirrorless camera with the 24-105 4-7.1 lens. However, questions keep popping up in my head:

1. Is the Canon R worth the additional cost?

2. Balance and handling have been mentioned as a problem when the 24-105 F4 is used with the Canon RP.
Experience anyone?

3. Both the Canon R and RP have been around a while. Understand Canon will be coming out with some new
models later this year Will the new ones replace the R and RP?

4. I feel like I should get the 24-105 F4 lens if I was to buy the Canon R. Thereby increasing the overall purchase
price substantially. Your thoughts on this?

Good Morning
I have the R6 and 24-105 f4 lens. It is of reasonable size and weight and comfortable to carry around and the output is excellent. The lens is a handy focal length. The R6 is the first full frame camera that I have owned in many years and the image quality and detail continues to astound me. I have just done my granddaughter's post HS graduation pictures and my brother's new business portraits. It's something to consider in your quest for your next purchase. (If not the R6 then maybe the R/RP). Canon has released the R7/ and not sure about the R10 but they are not full frame cameras if that makes a difference to you.

No I do not. Let me try to find out via software. My brother only used the camera for real estate as he is NOT a camera enthusiast -

I thought I was done selling gear for awhile but now I am listing my brother's real estate kit lol.

This kit is great for real estate or landscapes. I played with the camera and lens a bit and I liked what I saw.

This combo will not be sold as separate components.

It appears to be in excellent condition; body and lens.

Comes with what is pictured and that is all. No caps except lens front cap, no hood, no box or paperwork. There is a battery charger and extra battery.

It was used for real estate primarily with several flash units and flash triggers available as an add on price. Treated gently. The camera has a pop up flash which works.

375.00 for the camera and lens. If interested in flash and remote triggers please PM me.

Paypal.

-No Longer Available_

I have a 50 mm f 2.8 Pentax macro lens for FREE although shipping is not included. The AF no longer works so it is a manual focus only lens. Lens body and glass is in very good to excellent to condition, picture image is excellent with nice bokeh. I used this lens rarely so not sure what caused the auto focus dysfunction. In any case this is the last of my Pentax equipment and I would like to find a good home for it. Comes with hood, back cap. Shipping will run between 8.00-14.00 depending how far you are from Az. Add 8.00 more for insurance if you want it. Cash in the mail is good for shipping cost.
