if you go to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon;a good place to stay is the Kabab Lodge they have cabins for rent that can sleep a whole family or 1 person.prices start at $90.00 a night and is only 18 miles from the North rim.they are nice clean cabins and there is a place to eat in the main cabin nothing fancy just good homemade food.also is a campground right next to it.I think each site was $14.to$20.00 a night,away from all the tourists a nice Quiet place to stay.you will see deer and bison right down the road.there also is a gas station right across the street from the lodge.

Bodie is only about 20 miles north on 395 from Lee Vining.
tioga rd to Yosemite comes in from lee vining but at this time of the year it may be closed due to snow.I would check with the park to see if it is open if not it is a long drive to get in the park on the other side.it sounds like a great trip have fun.

keep in mind also that it is a 200 mile drive from the south rim to the north rim and the view is much the same on both sides.the only way to really see the Grand Canyon from a different view is to take a whitewater rafting trip but that takes anywhere from 8 days to 13 days.But it is a once in a lifetime trip.there is so much to see in the Southwest your biggest problem will be how much time to spend at each place, I would check out the Train ride from Williams to the South Rim as a one day trip.I hope you have a great trip
the truck was found in Bodie and has been restored to original condition.
I read the book and I saw the movie and the way I saw it was the way one person handled the war he was in an how it affected his life and his family.I know people who are in the service who feel the same way as Chris did.I am sure that the people who go to war and see the things that they see have to learn how to deal with life from a different view then they had before. I don't know how they do it.

it should be ok as long as it wasn't in a place where it was exposed to extreame temp. changes. take it in and have it developed if it is no good they wont be to develop it and shouldn't charge you for it.
