Any sightings of Steve Bartman? No? Everything should be OK

I remember that game very well. Bartman was unaware he was a victim of harm. He was escorted out of the stadium. His intent was to catch a souvenir ball. We will never know if the outfielder would have caught the ball for an Out?

The NCAA likes College Football and Basketball just the way it is. A group of football players from Northwestern University tried to Unionize a couple of years ago, just to get a modest allowance. It was crushed by the NCAA. Some say it was the wrong elite University to experiment with this issue. But the attempts to get some form of free modest financial assistance, outside of a Scholarship, is not dead yet. The NCAA argument is that they would have to provide this free allowance to all students participating in any sports. Despite not bringing in the biggest revenues such as football and basketball.

I've read two articles about the D810 being superseded by the D820. The 36 megapixels D810 full frame camera is still great. Imagine its successor? Possible release in one year. Good things are sometimes worth waiting for. With you owning a D800, see what lies in the near future with Nikon full frames.

Both lenses are excellent. However for versatility, I would choose the 24-70mm. That lens is on my wish list. I already have a 50mm prime 1.8 that I like and was inexpensive. But not as good as a top notch 85mm prime. Good luck.

The Nikon TC-14EII has been superseded by the TC-14EIII. The cost new is nearly $500. Same price for the 2X. The 1.7X is your other option, $400 new. I didn't want to pay that much for a teleconverter, so I purchased a third party Brand, Kenko 1.4X for less than $150. I am satisfied with it. Though I don't use it a lot.

Beautiful smile with dimples. Let her do it. As expensive as college is these days, this could be a bonus for her. She might make it Big. Who knows?

I've been purchasing from B&H since around early 2009. I just received a 35mm lens from them this past Thursday. And I will order more from them, as my needs persist in the future.

I am wanting a Nikon D500 and also a Tamron 24-70mm lens. I can't have both yet. Maybe I'll just get my lens first and wait next year for the possibility of the D500. I've heard no negatives on this new camera. I know someone who owns a D800e using a 70-200mm. His images are excellent, but he doesn't shoot soccer games with it.

Imagine the stories this man could share with you in all the years he has lived. He looks great too.

It seems like yesterday that the a6300 was released. It was an improvement to the a6000, a camera owned by a friend. He may be interested in this newer model. a6500.

The Chicago Cubs Baseball Team won 103 regular season games this year. The last time the Chicago Cubs won a World Series was 1908. Four years before the sinking of the Titanic. The Boston Red Sox finally won a World Series several years ago, not having won one since 1918. The Cubs defeated the San Francisco Giants yesterday at Chicago's Wrigley Field, 1-0. Will the curse be removed from the Cubs? Losing after winning 103 games would be another heartbreak for the city of Chicago.

It's an AF. I overdid the micro contrast on the image I posted but it's a very good lens. A few years I moved and joined a new camera club. I'm the only one who uses A-Mount lenses in the Club. A man who moved from Minolta to Canon had a big collection of old Minolta lenses that he wanted to get rid of. I bought them all from him at a reasonable price. I just placed an order for the A99II. I have been testing out the the old Minolta glass on my A900 and evaluating it. A lot of these lenses are great! I look forward what they will do when placed on my 42.4 MP A99II when it arrives.

A few days ago I made a list of all my A-Mount lenses:

Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 DG FF
Konica Minolta AF17-35mm F2.8-4(D) FF
Sigma 28-105 f/2.8-4 Aspherical FF
Minolta 28mm f/2.8 FF
Sony 50mm f/1.4 FF
CZ 24-70 f/2.8 SSM FF
Minolta 35-70 f/4 w/marco mode FF (two copies)
Sony 100m f/2.8 Macro FF
Minolta 135mm f/2.8 FF
Minolta 100-200mm f/4.5 FF
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 w/macro mode
Sony 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 G SSM
Sony 300mm f/2.8 SSM
1.4X TC and 2X TC for above
Sigma 400mm f/5.6 FF
Sony 500mm f/8 Reflex FF

Sony 11-18 f/4.5-5.6 DT/APS-C
Sony 18-70 f/3.5-5.6 DT/APS-C

Hopefully, I will never need to buy another lens!

I'll drink to that quote. The Sony a99II is likely to be a successful camera, and assuring the existence of A-mount lenses.

You may want to investigate the Sony EA3 or EA4 adapters. Unless the EA2 is the only one you want.

Love them photos. The fire escape stairwells bring back some old memories for me. Great shots.
