Great!!! I just received my external 4TB USB-3 hard drive as I speak/write... box is cold so I am not going to open it until it warms up some...might open it in about 3-4 hours in case it isn't condensation proof... I feel like a kid on Christmas morning... can't wait until I get my new drive connected and start transferring files from my "C-Drive" onto the new drive... :)
Congratulation on your upgrades I know how exciting it is. Just upgraded my RAM. So I can run all these PP programs.

Good shots, however, it is hard to concieve that those big planes just "touch" before going. It's more like a "plop" and go.

Thanks for taking a look at my work.
They don't actually put wheels on the runway the airport charges them a fortune if they do.

This is my first attempt with the 150-600 at the moon. Skies where slightly overcast, wispy high clouds from contrails, so I got the best focus I could.
It gathers light better a f/8 ISO 100 than I expected.
With the 2X TC it also gathers good light just as Bruce suggested.
Both views are cropped to fit the frame.

Thank you CraigFair, I'm toying with the idea of making a composite view at night with the colorful aircraft lights, might be interesting.

That sounds really 'cool' as I would have said 40 yrs ago.
Keep'em coming, always enjoy your work.
Those were water droplets from the eagle. There are no dust spots on my lens and no windows shooting through.

I am really sorry Mark about that. It does make since they were all round the Eagle and not the upper right in the frame.

You have some good shots there and lots of different aircraft to shoot.

I used to be a flight engineer on on the P3, a great aircraft that is now being replaced by the Boeing P8.

Thank you for taking time to look at my photos.
Is the P8 a 737 in drag? A friend of mine was crew on an Orion P3 in Viet Nam.

Hi Erv, good to hear from you and thank you very much.
Just got some broken clouds at 4:00 AM. So I.m out shooting the Moon.
Post will be in Astronomical Photography Forum. We'll see if my new Tamron 150-600 can make me a better photographer.

Don't know anything about that brand, but I would recommend buying a cir-pl based on reviews of it's quality, not price. With cir-pl filters the larger the diameter the more likely you are to have issues with uneven color, making them worse then no filter at all if you get a poor quality one.

Thank you LFingar I learned that lesson the hard way. I'll look into Jerry's idea of the Marumi CLP.

If it's a cheapie, avoid it. Here's a comparison of polarizers. prices are in Polish currency. I got the Marumi.

Thank you Jerry, the Marumi looks to be a quality filter I'll look into getting one.

I am being encouraged to enter a photo of mine in a Bald Eagle photo contest. I am a bit hesitant and would like the opinion of my fellow hedgehoggers. Do you think this photo is good enough for a contest? Also, would you recommend any further post processing? Feel free to add any recommended edits.

Thanks

I put it through Topaz Detail3 to enhance and sharpen. Then Lightroom 'Spot Removal' to remove all the water spots on the window you shot through?
Spent 15 min and I think it cleaned up OK. Just a beginning.
You have a Fantastic once in a lifetime shot to start with.
Good luck with you Contest.
