And the older I get, the slower those steps are!
I made part of that trip a few years back. There's lots to see close to the river banks so a shorter lens for that and for the castles which are far off, a long lens. Today I would just take my 16-300 and 10-20 and enjoy the trip.
Folks I'm 82 years old, I've seen and read much more than this. There's a place for such tales and in my opinion, which I stated, UHH is not the place for such writings. Now if you could get a photo of the action.....
This doesn't belong on UHH.
Just to encourage those of you up north, where it's still cold, SPRING is on the way. Better Boy and Cherry.
Officially 78 in Las Vegas today, 84 in the sun.
Our kitchen window isn't photo quality glass but they spook to easily if we're in the yard.
Back in February I posted on the difficulties I was having with Chase credit card trying to get them to provide a refund on a photo trip I had to cancel for medical reasons. The final results:
I started calling them each Friday for 5 weeks. Each time they promised to finish the claim and call back. They never called. Finally they promised to get back to me by the end of business on Monday and I told them I would file a Fed claim on Tues if they didn't. They didn't call. On Tues morning I filed a claim with the Consumer Protection Agency.(Fed) I sent them copies of EVERYTHING! That afternoon they acknowledged receipt and said that Chase had been notified of the filing.
22 hours after filing, I got an email from Chase that the claim was completed and "a check was in the mail" and 10 days later I received the check. Should have contacted the Feds sooner@
I've been completely surprised at all the follow on comments! And amazed as how my sight is improving each day, this being day 5 and I can now read my iPad. Doc tells me after the right eye is done and cleared up, I will get glasses to take care of the astigmatism and everything will be just right. I'm amazed!
Several have mentioned about being careful of their eyes. I was a pilot in the AF and I wouldn't let anyone do anything with my eyes, I wouldn't even use eye drops until a few years ago. When I told my daughter I was having the surgery, she just stared at me and said "You are doing WHAT?" But when I hit the golf ball more than 150 yards (sometimes), I couldn't see where it went so I knew it was time. Glad I did and if you are on the fence, go getter done.
You are correct, don't need to reprint. As soon as I don't have two different eyes to make comparisons, then white will again be white. Today it is white and beige but that will cease.
Man alive, this is a great blog for info!
Yep, at 82 I've got another one in 3 years. When the last one was done at 80, I said something about not having to do them any more. Doc said the charts say I will live past 85 so there's no need to go out with cancer at 87. Logical I guess.
Yes, very quickly accomplished. Getting ready takes longer than the job. I'm 82 and a pilot so had resisted because I didn't want anything done to my eyes. Glad I had it done, I recommend it highly.
Wow! I had my left cataract removed today and it's amazing how much brighter EVERYTHING is! So I looked at some of my favorite shots and what a change. The difference between looking with my right eye vs the left eye is amazing. My calibrated monitor is now much brighter and whiter. Like going from f/16 to f/4 with color correction.
If you have cataracts and like to take photos, get your eyes fixed. Your photos will look much, much better. Next week they remove the right cataract and I just may have to reprint all my wall hangings.
You are pretty sharp for the middle of the day, UHH would probably complain so I shall not. Have a good day.
