All's well that ends well. I had noted last week that a camera I sold had not been paid for or acknowledged although I had a signed receipt of delivery. I wrote him again last night and suggested that he really didn't want to not pay for it and gave him a deadline. Today he answered and said that he had written twice and that today he had sent funds to PayPal as we had agreed. Yes, the money is at PayPal.

So as I learned from UHH comments earlier, the next sale I make will see the money before I ship anything.

Also, my next letter to him would have mentioned that to not pay would have been a fraudulent use of the Postal Service and that the U.S. Government takes a dim view of mail fraud.

Don't mess with old people!

One or the other has to go first, either I trust him or he trusts me. I've sold on UHH before without any problems so did it this way again. Since there is no neutral intermediary, it's done on trust. I may have lost, we'll see. But next time I will see the money first.

Sold a camera using the UHH sale listing. The buyer received the camera noted by USPS. Expected payment through PayPal as discussed. Buyer didn't acknowledge receiving the camera and didn't respond when I asked him/her how it was going. This is day 4 after receipt of camera and I've heard nothing nor any posting to PayPal. Any advice? IF I don't hear something by Monday I'll publish his name, address, and phone number so no one else will have this problem.

I got a 750 used, refurbished, from Nikon. The shutter count was about1900 and the camera worked like new. Then I found out that carrying it and the 500 plus other stuff was too much weight and sold it to another UHH member.

Will it include the original battery and charger?

Nikon did not sell it with a battery or charger but I'll throw in a Nikon battery and charger if you want to buy it.

Just as a point of clarification, does it come with a lens?

I will include a Tamron 28-80mm, 3.5-5.8, if that will help you decide.

On my last trip to Jackson Hole, we stopped by a bird recovery "hospital". Injured birds are brought in for care and if they can't be returned to the wild, are cared for and shown to school groups, photo groups, etc. I prefer birds in flight but these are pretty and one can get close. I couldn't help but think about how when we take photos of animals and birds that we are NOT supposed to interfere in their environment but recovery groups, such as these, directly interfere with these rescues.

Thought I had to have a full frame camera until I had made two field trips carrying the 750 and 500 plus lens + stuff. Bought 5 months ago from Nikon, refurbished. I've taken a couple hundred shots. Includes battery grip and I'll leave the strap I put together. I have not taken any photos with the battery grip, I use it because I have large hands and it's easier to hold with grip installed. It is not a Nikon battery grip, B&H no-name.
Price: $825, PM me if interested.

All are fantastic! How did you get the owl to pose for you? 😊

It sat on the handlers fist and moved all around. As with most birds, I took about 20 photos and picked the one I liked best.

Nikon d500, Sigma 10-20mm, 4.0 ISO3200, 25 seconds. Cleaned up noise with Neat software.

Second shot is a couple of hours later and the Milky Way had rotated to a more vertical position, same settings. Jupiter reflecting on the pond.

Then to the rehab shop where this deaf owl wanted to know what was going on.

The iconic Ansel Adams barn north of Jackson,WY

Another Adams shot of the Snake River. His cannot be duplicated because in 50 years the trees have grown up and blocked the view of the river bend. Oh well.

The author, yep, I've been around the bend a few times. And yes, it was cold!

Just to be technical, the honey is made in the hive as they ingest the nectar to their stomachs and then into the honey comb. Nice shot, where are you with blooms like that?

When I have images displayed in Bridge, full size, and I want to go to the next image, I click on the down or up arrow. But the image doesn't center on the screen and if I click again, half or less of the next image will be on the screen. Is there an adjustment so that each image centers on the screen after each up or down arrow?

Mrs Rufus came in for breakfast this morning. Reminded me of pulling up behind a KC-135 to refuel back in the Air Force days.
Initial contact, moving in, taking on nectar, and getting that last drop off the bottom!
I was using my 16-300 and d500 but think I will set up the 150-600 in the morning. I'm staying in the air conditioning and shooting out the kitchen window. Yes, it's too hot in Las Vegas!

I built a vertical fountain in our fish pond for the sole purpose of photographing a hummingbird getting a drink. FINALLY Mrs. Rufus and I got there at the same time and the kitchen window was clean! Seems to like to catch a drop on her tongue. No problem, they can catch mosquitos in flight.
