Sorry, this is to Reenie, didn't hit quote reply. Thanks for the interest. It was something my wife and I did together and she passed away about a year and a half ago. Just doesn't have the same feel. I'll probably end up with some type of bridge camera, don't think I can go cold turkey.

I have lost my passion for photography and have decided to move on. In my opinion all gear is in very good to excellent condition, the D810 was recently professionally cleaned. i Don't know if it is possible to sell all of this as a single package but that is what I am going to attempt first. If I was to sell items individually I would be looking for a total of $11950.00. Packaged I will go $10,500. Here is the list, photos to follow (I hope)

The D850 grip increases your shooting speed from 6 fps to 8 fps which is an increase 25%. Because of this I would be hesitant to buy a generic grip. There may be internal processing in the battery grip that works with the D850. Now I have a D500 and it will shoot 10 fps with or without the grip. I got the Nikon grip free with the purchase several years ago.

This is true only if you buy the battery and parts to work with this grip. The grip alone does not increase the speed.

If you have a SMART TV and can plug in a USB you do not need to downsize. I shoot with a Nikon D850 and don't need to change the size to view them on the TV. You can manipulate the images to any order you want on your computer first. You can add and delete images at any time. Much better work flow and you do not have to use a new DVD every time you want to change. It is truly very simple with the USB, just plug it in to the TV and use the remote to select the source. Then watch as a slideshow or manually advance each picture at your leisure. You can even put a slideshow with music on the USB if so desired. And if you want you can put different folders on the USB drive and have several viewing options at the ready. I just leave the USB plugged into the TV unless I have something new to add. And the larger the TV the larger the picture (kind of obvious).

I put the pics on a DVD disc. I find if the individual shots are too large they will not be shown so I save in reduced (50%) JPEG size. I save by number so I can keep them in order. I start with 1-9 then a1-9, b1-9, etc. I found if I saved above 9, e.g., 11, 12, etc. these would then fall behind the 1, likewise 21, 22 behind the 2. My DVD player will handle only up to 500 shots. If I want to do more I put them on a second DVD. Sounds crude, cludgy, but it works!

To answer your question it is possible to do the photos on the TV without them being a slide show. I use the USB port and click on the folder I want. You then have the option to start the slide show or manually advance the pictures one frame at a time. You don't need to hook up a computer or any other device. The USB serves the purpose well.

I agree with this. Native American Pan Flute is what I use a lot, especially with National Park Shows. It is what I listen to also when driving around National Parks.

I use Pro Show to create my pjoto shows, it’s at photodex.com for trial version and lots of samples. It has a ton of music that comes with the program. For my Utah canyons shows, I used Native American flute music tracks that we already have.

I can't speak to the D7200 but I have a D810 and a D850. I will tell you that the D850 is amazing in high school gymnasiums with a quality 2.8 lens. I use the Nikon lenses but I am sure the others are equally up to the task. The D850 clearly outperforms the D810. I also purchased the turbocharged battery grip to give me 9fps and I have never been more pleased with my sports results. Ultimately it is up to you and whether the expense is worth the return. I am pleased and have never looked back.

Reminds me of an old joke. If you are travelling at the speed of light and turn on your headlights does anything happen?

I went to a photo show on Saturday and talked to a few different reps. The guy from Sigma told me it would be in my best interest to get a monopod with three feet to go with my new lens. So i walked around and ended up talking to the company rep from Sirui. He explained that the thought process for monopods is slightly different than that of tripods. The aluminum monopod I purchased only weighed two ounces more than the carbon fiber of the same ilk. He actually talked me down from the carbon fiber. The one I chose can rotate on a ball in the base, and the upper area rotates around as well. All I then needed was a vertical pan head. It really depends on what you want to do, but going crazy here is not necessary.

Well, I guess I am one of those stupid people..I have a beanbag with a screw mount sitting on my dashboard with a tethered remote. Easy enough to just push the button while driving. It seems far safer than changing car entertainment systems which require moving your eyes from the road. None of these pictures will ever hang on my wall but they make for a nice slideshow of trips I have taken.

Actually for all of my photography needs I use the store Photo Connection in Colchester. Kind of makes me think of how much do I need something before driving to purchase it.

Yes, they drop off at about 4 or 5. I'm in Dayville so a little easier for me. I'm not sure from which routes or towns they do this for.

But the pickup at Walgreens almost made up for the ineptitude of the driver. UPS always gets it right for me. Sometimes you just can't choose.

I've had that trick played before. Northeast Ct does not have a close FEDX center, serves us from Willington and we are not a priority as evidenced by several lengthy delivery times. UPS services our area from Bozrah with numerous trucks in the northeast. Check I-395 in the morning between Norwich and Putnam!
