Where in Oregon are you? If near to Portland there is a huge camera store downtown. I'm sure they would have that camera in stock. Besides checking for fit, you could walk away with that camera in your hands immediately :) No Oregon sales tax and no shipping. No need to worry about paying return postage if you don't like it.

Lovely photo that undoubtedly brings back good memories. I'm sorry for your loss. It seems that it was unexpected-
Thanks for the heartfelt advice.

Take a look at the attached image taken with my iPhone 6+. This is as good as any DSLR image could be. Note the dof and sharpness of the image. I did not have my D750 at the time.

So you CAN take a decent cell phone photo if you practice enough and understand how your phone camera works. When I took this, I touched the screen to zero in on the chicks so that the iPhone's camera lens would focus on the chicks only and also moved the slider to adjust the exposure for the shadows. People just don't believe that this was a cell phone image and I tell them that this was "not a cell phone--it was an ' iPhone' "
Take a look at the attached image taken with my iP... (show quote)

Any idea what kind of birds these are? Does the image hold its resolution when you enlarge it?

Very nice. Our picking opportunities are limited. Picking farms are ending the practice.

Jerry- that's a shame. It's a big savings to pick your own fruit. Berries are scarce in Arizona compared to Oregon and so expensive when you do find them. I picked 20 pounds of blueberries, 20 pounds of strawberries and 12 pounds of raspberries in the past 2 weeks and froze the whole lot. Peaches and apples are still left on my list to get. I dehydrate those.

My husband and I are in Oregon 5 months out of the year and when I'm here I pick all the fresh fruit I can, dehydrate and/or freeze it and take it back to Arizona. My grandchildren live here and often accompany us to "help out".

Beautiful images. 15 stitches is a lot! Glad you weren't injured more.

Thank you very much. Yes it is 26oz which is light compared to its predecessor 300 f4 lens.

Wonder how that would pair with the Nikon 7500 :)

Lucky you! Your images show that babies of any species are cute :) I like how you caught the interaction between babies and mom. The adults can be quite nasty and aggressive though.

Very sharp, detailed images. I noticed the Cormorant's feet- webbed feet curled over the branch looks odd :) Anyway- isn't that lens the really light weight (expensive) one- something like 26 ounces? If I had a Nikon I would be very tempted- good thing I don't have a Nikon:)

Beautiful and dramatic! Pockets of light on the flowers are icing.
