scanning 127 film on Epson V600 scanner

I have some old 127 size film (image area = 1 5/8" square) that I would like to scan. I have an Epson V600 scanner that has holders for 35mm, both roll film and slides and one for medium format film, but not for 127. Does anyone know where I can find a holder for the 127 film? I tried Google with no success, and Epson's response was just make one out of cardboard. I can do that, but would rather have on out of plastic if I can find one.

Thanks,
Robert

You don't NEED a holder unless your film is badly curled. Just lay it flat on the glass, close the lid and preview. You might need to practice a little to get it square but it will work, I have done it on my Epson V500.

I shoot a little 127. Too little to spend $75 on "glass less ANR glass". That is confusing. I do have a piece of 4x5 ANR I put on top of curly small odd film like MT suggests.

I mainly use my V700 for much larger format and since I often don't like my images on the light table many do not get scanned.

Now I am chasing ever bigger formats for contact printing...

Good luck. What camera are you using for 127? And what film? I shot some old 127 Ectachrome last year. Came out fine.

MT, square? Never happen. I adjust rotation after in PS.

I use an Epson Perfection 3200 and the odd times I've been asked to scan 127 film, I've just used the medium format holder. It's worked well for me. You can also just lay the film on the scanner without the holder and that works pretty well, also.

Its best to scan with some dark area around the slide. All you need is some thin black art paper and you cut a hole the area of whatever slide you want to scan with a razor blade and you will have a great template for scanning.

I don't think anyone prints 127 anymore, except DIY B&W. I can get the color film developed, but only at a very high price will my Lab print color 127.

Sorry it's been a while since I used film.
I spent a lot of money having film developed. Digital is the best thing to happen in my photo experience. My delete button is getting worn though.

I try to shoot digital slower than i used to. I also now have several different digital cameras for different purposes. I never leave home without my Nikon P7000. very handy for snaps, impulse and eBay.

I pick up the 'big' 36 mega wowza only when needed.

I actually spend most of my time with LF film cameras, for fun!

Digital is only for work.
