Anybody have any experience with refurbished cameras Thinking about getting a refurbished d3400 package FROM THE NIKON FACTORY. Good price. Wondering s it worth the savings. 90 day warranty included
I strongly recommend you immediately test the snot out of your new purchase. When Nikon says 90 days they don't mean 91.
I have a sad story about a refurbished 200-500 lens that I didn't test right away. I got busy and didn't find out the lens was bad until the warranty had expired by two days (really!)
So get your testing done right away an you should be fine!
I bought a d7200 refurb. and the only thing I can add is it did not come with manuals as expected. However they are online and several authors extend the knowledge found in the factory manuals.
FYI Cameta Camera has a 1 year warranty on used and refurbished. I have bought from them service and products are outstanding. Maybe it's just me but I stick to buying new bodies and refurbished lenses if I'm going that way.
My mistake! Correct, of course. However, Nikon’s standard warranty on lenses is one year. To get the five years, you have to register the purchase with Nikon.

Come on. Use the search function. This same question has been asked and answered dozens of times.
I've done it with Nikon and Canon and certainly would do it again. I'm watching for a 19mm Perspective Control WA and a 200-500mm Tele Zoom from Nikon but I haven't found either yet.
