Note to sellers on this site...there are a lot of experienced photographers who know when to take the shot and when not to take the shot,a bad choice can be ugly and unfortunately some have taken bad shots and share thier experience with us...seller and buyer beware.

Another one was posted for sale today, an A7RII. Same story, new user making a couple cursory comment posts before trying to sell a higher end camera.
APPROACH WITH CAUTION!

As an FYI, I had purchased a Canon 200mm f1.8 from a person in Korea after the World Cup. Apparently there are many people there that will buy for the event then sell. I still have the lens and accessories. In my case, a fantastic purchase. Mine purchased on ebay.

eBay has a purchase gaurantee so you are somewhat protected, but only in the case that the product was misrepresented.
If the seller isn’t an eBay member with a perfect 100% score after 2 years then be wary, very wary.
I’ve been buying over eBay for 10 years with one purchase issue which was promptly resolved in my favor, coupled with pay pal you are protected as much as can be,they also have in place pay after delivery.
This is not an eBay or pay pal plug just sharing my thoughts.

I here the fear and it's not unfounded. I see the possibility of a scam here, but If there's truly an interest in buying it, then pay through PayPal ONLY after receiving a detailed invoice for it. The PayPal refund is guaranteed if the transaction is not honored. If the seller qualifies for the PayPal account, then that settles it.

Pay pal has a pay after delivery which is about as good as it gets.
