Much to my shock, it doesn't have a CD player.
I have now, 15 favorite CD's that are useless now.
I know, I know, put them on a Pocket drive.
To be honest I don't know how to do this.
I have the hardware, but not the software, or even the know how to do it.
Never had the need till now.
Our new car does have Wi-Fi and two USB ports.
I don't think that it could be as simple as just coping each CD disk to separate folders on the thumb drive. ????
Then just plugging in the pocket drive and selecting the disk on my touch screen and picking play.

That is if you have a CD player in the car. Picking up our new Honda CR-V Friday. No CD player. USB/Streaming, etc.

It could just be that simple. You might need a program, you might not. Not sure if music CD's have anti-copying protection or not. Movie DVD's often do. Try it, couldn't hurt.

Could be just that simple. Try it, couldn't hurt. Not sure if music CD's have anti-piracy protection (like movie DVDs) or not.

Since the CD standard was developed before us mere mortals could actually make a digital copy of them, CDs in fact are quite easy to copy and convert the tracks to WAV,MP3 or whatever your favorite music format is. Easily done on a Mac or Windows machine with an optical drive.
ask your grand kids i'll bet they can doi it no problem

So, how are you supposed to support the artist/band that you love? My way of doing it was to buy their album or now their CD? I'm so "old school" I'm not about to download anything! I don't even know what an "Ap" is for...
And I don't want to know! Call me stubborn if you like, but whats a music fan supposed to do now?
"More practical"??? Not in my world. I provide photos to law enforcement and give them fifteen cents cd's...so how many thumb drives have you bought for fifteen cents lately?

Practicality ? I've never been practical! The point is to support the band you love by purchasing their album. How is an artist supposed to earn cash these days ? Technology is great, but when you can listen for free, well...
Like the old sayin goes, "if horses were free, everyone would ride."

I have converted much of my music into MP3's and onto a USB stick. I placed 4500+ songs, and at least 280 full albums on the stick. Plugs into the port on my car and plays through my system as I drive. I can chose what I want according to my current mood. OK, so it took me some time to do this but the reward is great. I can even go to UTube to find vintage jazz and classical pieces to download. Bottom line... I cant do without music (even while I tinker with my photos).
I guess you can call me old school because I still have all of the real to real tapes I made when I came home from the service in 1972 about 200 tapes some with music that you would be hard pressed to find now days .I still like to fire it up every now and then an it still sounds great.I also have about 100 vinel records both albums and 45s most are in like new condition because when I bought them I would copy them to the tapes and put them away so most were only played one time.I also have about 200 cds. My home system consists of a matched set rec.real to real tape deck turntable;and 4 floor speakers from 1970 which I bought in Japan; also have a 6 dic cd player and a cass.player all are hooked up together so whatever I want to listen too all I do is turn a dial to the unit I want . In my 2004 p/f I have a radio;cd player and a cass.player. I always liked to make my own tapes so I only had music I wanted to hear. I'm 69 y/o and still love the oldies from the 60s and the old country music. All the music from that time can be found on cds at oldies .com your source for rare & hard to find cds and dvds &more. phone num. is 1 800 336 4627.

So, what are you going to do when you buy a new car?
If, you were to buy a new car.
It will be no music for you then, on the road.

=============================
Some "movie" DVD's do have protection, however there is a program for that.
It's called "FAB".
Bypasses the problem.
