Is this worth buying? This has flooded Facebook and has many features that I, as an amateur, like but I thought I would ask here before going any further.

I have one. I like having an intervalometer that mounts on the hot shoe. Good lightning trigger and motion trigger. I haven’t gotten the droplet Adapter, but am thinking about it.

Drawback is that it’s smartphone controlled. It’s actually an advantage in that the controls aren’t cryptic, but you need the phone and you need to charge it.

I don't see either as a problem but I just wondered if this was a gimmick or something worth having.

I’ve had one for a while...very handy instead of the self timer for including yourself in the group shot. Also intervalometer and a host of other features. All controlled by your smart phone. You can download the app, which includes the manual, for free.

Thank you.

So you think it is worth having?

It’s another gadget, different from most. Considering its functionality, emphasis on ‘fun’, there’s a lot for a pretty low price. I wish it could wirelessly tether to the iPad, but hey. The little pouch you get is too small, but hey. And I ended up buying a few 1/4-20 to hot shoe adapters on a B&H run, but hey.

I think it’s worth owning. Really...if only for the remote trigger, it’s a good solution.

Well thank you for the advise. I didn't know if it just might be more Facebook junk! Maybe next month I will get one!

I received one as a gift. It's actually fairly well made and works pretty well. Many functions that can be fun to try out. I have been playing with the laser function mainly. I am looking forward to trying lightning shots, but some of the reviews have not been as good for this function. I am going to try the HRD function at some point. You can shoot up to 19 exposures for an HDR. While that could be done manually, it would not be so easily accomplished. Is it worth the $120? Yes, if you can afford it and/or find some fun things to do with it.
