Average age seems to be about 89 years old.

Thanks!

I think you're confused. Age isn't the criteria. It's senility. Age just correlates well.

Aflundi, I like your analogy. If anyone should ask my age, my response it to give them the age of my birth certificate, sitting in the file cabinet. I often add on "my brain, however, is not paying attention". By the way, I actually feel that way.

Being a Nikon owner can bypass the age requirement.

Thanks everyone for their replies. I am not asking for myself, I am qualified to be a member. I am asking about my 17-year-old brother. I will let him know he has to be 18.

Actually I don't really understand a minimum age of 18 unless it is just to keep admin's lawyer from having a cardiac event. I taught photo for one year at a high school and some of those kids were better than most on here and more mature than some.
I know for a fact we have had high school students on the UHH, I answered some of their questions.

Besides any high school or junior high school kid who can't fake their age on line is probably too stupid to operate a camera or computer. I had one student (computer/tech geek of course-worked for the campus tech coordinator 1 period a day) who worked from home a couple hours each night and on weekends doing tech work for a real estate company (they thought he was in college). He was clearing over $500 a week back around 2004 or so. Helping his Dad with the house and other bills, bought his Mom a car of her own and paid for a lot of stuff for his little brothers and sisters. Plus saving up in case he had time to go to college. He was not the only kid mature enough for any site like this.

I went over and looked at the Nude...Boudoir etc site. There may be someone who is into "ART" on there but seems to be mostly DOM or DYM. Finally someplace that "The Attic" can look down on from the moral high ground.
Actually I don't really understand a minimum age o... (show quote)

That IS funny. I do know some 10 year olds that are more mature than some 65 year olds.

Tell him he has only one more year to wait before joining the fray.

Before we push the 'film' folks out into the pasture, I should tell you something. Where I teach, at Webster University here in St. Louis, we actually have a Photography school that includes study of film, as well as digital. That department also has chemical darkrooms. Like black-and-white photography, film photography is not dead.
