Looking for suggestions for an additional flash for a Nikon D7200 to replace the built in version. General use — portraits and fill for wildlife, etc. Thanks.

SB600, SB700, SB800, SB900, SB910. All function 100% with your camera and CLS, and are readily available used.
If your flash has failed and you just want a lower power replacement look at the SB350, SB400 and SB500 models.
Great value if you can't afford Nikon ...or even if you can.
I have 2 now...the 685 and have yet to open my AD200.

Any hot shoe flash will get you better results than the build-in flash! With Nikon units its true, the more you spend, the better they'll get!

Unless you are shooting something, where you need the extra power, take a look at the Nikon SB 700. If you want to go with a cheaper alternative, I hear Yongnuo is decent. You may also want to look at B& H used or craigslist. I just bought another SB 700 off of craigslist, for a very fair price.

I have a Nikon SB-600 that I have neen using with my D60 and now with my new D5500. Also recently bought an Opteka IF980N and two NeeWer NW562 which work great with both cameras. The Opetka operates as a master so it will control other speedlights.

Yongnuo #685 can be used with Nikon cameras.

If you want to stay with Nikon I buy used Nikon Sb-800 flash units off ebay. I buy them Mint and have been very pleased with the results. There are many, many, third party TTL flash units that will work well with your Nikon. Amazon and B&H are full of them, just make sure you get a TTL unit.

Also not sure on this site suggestions run to the cheeper side of equipment
Why buy older technology
Look at the SB5000 and all of its benefits and abilities
Flash point RP from Adorama.
I use a used SB 800 for my D7200 and it works fine. EBAY....used for 175.00
Sold the Nikon SB 600 and have the Nikon SB 700 that I never use. Switched to Godox and never looked back. You can buy 2 for one when purchasing Godox. Cheeper but with no loss in quality that I have noticed. If you grow your lighting equipment the Godox will be more compatible with other brands using 2.4 GHz Wireless Radio Systems.
