d5200

I just bought a nikon d5200 on ebay with a shutter count of about 33,000. I noticed that the shutter is noisier that on my nikon d5500. Is this a normal difference between the d5200 and the d5500? Pictures turn out fine. Also, notice indoors a kind of a faint yellowish tint to the view either live view or not; however, again the pictures come out fine. Should I have any concerns about these issues? Thanks to UHHer's for commentary on these issues.

No issues, you are just seeing the technological progression of a 2 generation newer camera design.

33,000 shutter releases? Shoot, it's still a kid.

Thanks for the responses. I feel better about the camera now. Since I just got it, I haven't really given it a true workout; plan to start on that this weekend. This is a great forum; you can always depend on getting good and experienced info.

A teenager. I prefer child cameras.

The noise between the two on shutter release shouldn't be a concern. 33,000 isn't a high number.

To each his own, but a question I have because of curiosity. If you have a 5500, why purchase a 5200? As a backup? I always have moved up a 'series' 3000 to 5000 to 7000, and kept the previous. To answer your question, I don't think 33k is a high number; but you should not be hearing differences in noise between the two. And the the yellow on the live view might indicate something. I'm not technically adept to answer that. But, if you final picture turn out okay, well then okay.
Why not take both cameras with the same lens and do a shoot of the same scene keeping all factors the same as possible?
That might tell you if all is well.

Was using nikon bridge cameras until about 3 months ago; then got the d5500 with a Tamron 18-270. Decided to get the d5200 as a back-up with an 18-55 vr and a 55-200 vr as a back up. Don't know what I will do about the bridge cameras.
As far as pictures, the 5200 takes good pictures; the yellow cast does not come thru on the pictures. So, I'm guessing it may be the two model difference between the 5200 and the 5500 concerning the shutter noise, as one that replied earlier said.
I have gotten a lot of good info thru the forum. Great group of people. Thanks.

My second camera is a D5200. It's a fairly decent camera. I wouldn't be concerned. I saw a big difference in many ways when I stepped up to the D7500, but still use the D5200 for some circumstances. Like the others said in other ways... There's still a hella lot of shots left in that young camera...
