Amazon survey

I just watched a 30 minute documentary on CBC television about this scam.
Almost no one reads the "terms and conditions" to discover that they are actually signing up
for a monthly expensive shipment of various products. Once you realize what is happening
you are probably already out hundreds of dollars.
It was probably not really Amazon.

I got this survey request from Amazon bribing me with a possible $50.00 gift card if I completed the survey, so what the heck, I'll bite. The survey was five simple questions and took about one minute to complete. Not surprising, I didn't win the gift card, but I was offered several other "free" gifts for my effort. A strange set of gifts, anything from anti-wrinkle cream to male enhancement pills. The only one that was any interest to me was some free watch from Miglia. The watch was free but you had to pay $6.00 in shipping.
I suspected something was up so I clicked on the "terms and conditions" (nobody ever reads these). The first part talked about your promise to pay the shipping, the second part stated that when you got this "free" watch, you were automatically enrolled in a program to get other watches at about $100 per month. NOT. I wonder how many other people signed up for their "free" product and didn't bother to read the fine print?

Amazon, you should be ashamed of yourself!

I believe you got scammed. I get that email every day, and it goes directly to my Spam box. If you check the email address, you'll probably find that it's from a foreign country.

That is not Amazon. That is a company in Miami FL and a scam. They will bill you a lot more in 30 day or so (Maybe $100.00+). You are only paying for a look at it and a few days to return it. Don't know the details but do know it is a scam.

Not sure how it works, but.. I have clicked on links on UHH and get a pop up that says if I answer 4 questions I will get a $1,000.00 (one Thousand dollar) gift card from walmart. They use the walmart logo so it almost looks legit. When it pops up you have to answer the questions. I almost never click on links from this site anymore.

If you can get a genuine customer service email address for Amazon, you could forward that email to them and ask about genuine-ness.

The CBC documentary discussed how they will tie the promotion to some celebrity.
When the celebrity tries to sue them (because there is no connection!) they are
impossible to track down.

There are a lot of offers online to "Vote" and take surveys. They just want to get some info from you that will be valuable to them - like your email address.

Please PM me a screenshot of what you see if you are getting any popups while on UHH. This shouldn't be happening.

These are always in my email inbox, never popups.
I called Amazon about 2 weeks ago, and they will do what they can
The problem is that the vendors and the fulfillment company are all offshore, and therefor not subject to US Laws.
