PS has the app under filters for shake reduction. Also there is the usual sharpening filters. Which should be used first, sharpening or shake reduction?

I think shake reduction has a setting for 'direction' (verticle, horizontal etc) so it would be adviseable to use that first to minimise.. Then sharpen IF required. However, you are probably trying to guild a dead lilly.

you might find that using a high pass (as a layer) then shake reduction on the resulting layer could work. High pass creates a bit map of contrast points (Like a line drawing of your picture) The shake would create noticeable double/tripple lines that may be easier to blend into a single line. But its gotta be a 'must keep at any cost' image and quite plain. A landscape would be impossible to deal with.

Hey, shake is easy to replicate......go try! :-)

Have fun

Some definition of fun. I have found that the shake reduction improves the image and frankly, I've tried it both 1st and 2nd. But when you are on your 80th trip around the sun, you'll try most anything when you can't use a tripod. Ain't life fun!

I often use "Piccure Plus", http://piccureplus.com which corrects for minor lens problems and camera shakes.
