The aspens are definitely turning gold here in Colorado. The peak is not quite here, but it won't be long.

Sometimes the anticipation is as sweet as the actual event. I love the scenery.

Yes, the scenery around here can be spectacular. The change to fall color is happening so fast!!! I'm going to a workshop a little further west next weekend. Change happens a little later there. Hope to get some good images. Then pack up and go home to COS.

I like the colorful mt. top and trees in 1 and the clouds in 2.

The download versions are so interesting and a pleasure to view, I find the road in the first photo so very inticing.
Very appealing pair of images. I like the downloads.
They're starting to turn in north central New Mexico, too - Jemez Mts and possibly the Sangre de Christos (I haven't really looked east to see the color there.) And, of course, we had rain last night and early in the am. If it was light, the color might last, but if it was heavy or steady, the leaves will be stripped pretty soon. Autumn is my favorite time of the year.

Thank you commenting - I, as well, love that road. I travel it lots in the summer.
