Thanks!

Thanks Pat.

The first picture shows a garage window on the right where I often shoot from as I did today. The one on the left is a kitchen window where I just sit, eat, and watch.

The second image is the porch I shoot from when I stick a feeder on the lawn. The downward angle gives me the oof grass for the background in many of my images.

Thanks, Bill.
I'm wanting to create an area outside to attract birds to photograph.
Once I get a set of images, I will probably stop.
You do have your perches working for you!
Thanks, Pat

Terrific capture, but so that I might be able to learn from it, I'd like to know what equipment and settings you used. Thanks for showing some excellent work!

Thanks George.

I used a Nikon D300 w/ 500 F4 AF-s. The lens was wide open. SS varied from shot to shot, but wouldn't help you anyway without knowing the light intensity.

Excellent set, birds don't seem to mind the rain. Love the droopy sunflower shot Bill.

Thanks very much Sylvia. I almost pulled the Sunflower out, but at the last minute decided to shoot it.

Nice capture. The birds look a little the worse for the wear. I often wonder where they go when it is raining. Do they look for a branch that is out of the way in the middle of a tree to be out of the rain as much as possible?

Thanks very much for stopping by.

Some bird like the Titmouse and Chickadee seem to avoid the rain to a point. They will quickly grab a seed and get back to the tree. Mourning Doves will sit in the middle of the feeder and keep eating or just find a place out of the wind. Robins, when the are most active during spring will flock to the bird bath so they can bathe and shower at the same time.
