I have been visiting the Oregon coast for nearly 70 years. This past week my wife and I visited and explored Cape Kiwanda for the first time. I will definitely go back.

The first photo is a sand dune. A vary large sand dune. Those are people climbing it. I asked someone what the view is like on top. He said "climb it ... it is worth it". Mind you

he was 30 years old at the most. lol Well, curiosity got the best of us. We made it to the top. Let me tell you, going down was a heck of a lot easier. Fortunately Pelican Brewery

is at the bottom of the sand dune. We celebrated making it up and down in one piece. The last two photos are from cape Perpetua. That is a stone hut built by the Forest Service in the 30's.

Thanks for sharing. Been to be a Oregon several times and travel south along the coast into California. Spectacular scenery and can't wait to go back. Your pics are outstanding and crisp.

Thank you.
It never ceases to amaze me what mother nature has to offer to photograph. You just have to go out and look for it.

Hi Jerry,
The Oregon Coast is unique. So different than the east coast. Rugged and beautiful at the same time. You would enjoy it here.

Thank you. I recently returned from visiting your part of the country. Loved Nashville!!! Memphis was interesting as well. Like you, I took a lot of photos in Tennessee. It is fun to see what visitors find interesting to photograph.

Thank you. Come on back. This weekend has been a little bit crazy here on the coast. The eclipse begins here near Lincoln City. They are expecting up to 100,000 visitors. I left town before the craziness began.

Great Pictures. I was born at Tillamook Oregon and raised about 5 miles north of Cape Kiwanda. As a kid I didn't appreciate where I was raised. We went to Prineville Oregon on vacations to Hunt for thundereggs. I still love the Oregon Coast and don't get to visit as much as I would like.

Thanks you. We are spoiled living in this state. There is a little bit of everything here. The ocean, mountains, desert and more. Where you live is a booming area. We took our '34 to a cruise-in to Bend a couple of years ago. Had a great time there.
