Wow! So I ran off a sequence of the Iris Nebula last night. It was just rising from the Ivy on the Fence when I got my second alignment done.
So without doing
anything to them, I thought I'd see what Deep Sky Stacker would do, and if it could even begin to process them. So I loaded the FIT's, then cheated and threw in my dark's from before, hoping the rainbow sprinkles would be terminated...
But hey! It did process, so that's some progress.
Wa-La! Le Results!
(I have no idea what to do with this...
)
Output TIF from DSS. I've seen puke that made more sense than this.

NOT STACKED. Not pretty! But here is one of the FIT's exported to JPG

Hang in there Sonny I'm sure you will get lots of help here real soon.
I try to shoot my Darks and Bias shots at the same temp and exposure as my Lights.

I like the 2nd one best; far better star color. But then again I like colorful astro-images!

Something is really wrong. You shouldn't be getting results like this. Perhaps one of us need to give it a try with your lights and darks?
But it is a very good trick turning a mere sprinkle into a star. Even Star Trek couldn't do that! And I suspect that Einstein didn't even know this could be done!
