Here is a close look at the "heart" of the yellow daylily that I posted a few days ago. With summer heat upon us, I am trying to focus more on close-up and macro photography that can be done in a studio setting. This is a learning process for me but it is also a fun journey! Please download for the best view.

A beautiful image of the heart of the lily. It's a whole new fun journey to photograph the intricate detail inside a flower. It's been one of my favorite photo ops. I'm somewhat surprised you're
just adding it to your talents, Carol. 👍

Hi Carol,

Your close-up of the lily is absolutely "tack sharp". This is exactly what I have been trying to achieve. The subject is excellent, but more impressive to me is the sharpness of every detail. Can you tell me which camera and lens you used for this shot.

Thank you Annie! I did macro years ago in film days but I had only toyed with it in digital. Now that I have more time to learn and practice, it just seemed like a good direction for me!

Gary, these were taken with the D810 and 105 Micro using a tripod. Thank you for your very positive review!
