Drying Sunflower series

I am continuing to work with the drying blooms on the sunflower in the yard. Yesterday's image was posted as one of the two shots in "Victims of the Heat" http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-456077-1.html
Here is one of today's images. (I think I can say the fall of my camera didn't degrade the IQ I can get.) 7DII, Tamron 180 macro, 1/400 @ f/5.6, ISO 640 hand held in shade

Further shots in the series will be with my 6D as the 7DII goes to Canon Service for a check over and any needed repairs as a result of falling over on the tripod. (my dumb mistake, hit tripod with office chair while getting something from file cabinet)

Well, Rob, I don't know. I think it is very well done. However, since I have a slightly bent (warped) sense of humor, To me, it looks like a cabbage throwing up after a hard night of drinking. This could be a good thing because this is the image it evokes from me. I think it is pretty neat despite my weirdness.

Thanks Tom
Actually I was thinking "monster's mouth with long snaggly teeth" or "monster with mouth full of weird spaghetti".

I feel badly about my aging imagination!!! Looks like a drying sunflower to me.... time for a second cup. Sunflowers and corn were so very big when I was a child. To me as a 4 year old, the corn was 10' high... "as high as an elephant's eye" as the song from Oklahoma says.

Trainkc and robertjerl should know that the seeds are to be eaten, not smoked!!! Love the colors and the shapes. Great shots of simple subjects is a good approach to photography... this being one good example.

There's a bright golden haze on the meadow
The corn <and sunflowers> is as high as an elephant's eye
And it looks like it's climbing right up to the sky

Don't smoke, seeds or anything else, these grew from bird feed and they are allowed to stay for the birds.
I just read a lot of SciFi and Fantasy novels for relaxation.
Yeah, I like the colors and shapes also, just since yesterday morning the petals have gone tan with only a hint of yellow but with the sliders in LR I can bring the faded colors back. A spritz of water from a mist nozzle also brightens up the colors again.

Aren't you the one who thinks Garden Gnomes are railroad workers? And they have miniature M-1 tanks.
