What is fiverr? Why are you hanging on to it. It ruins the look of both logos.

I like the second one, but I can't read the word in the background. The first letter or letters are blocked, at least partially.

Well.....I thought this was a site to come to for other photographers to get together and share photos and ask others opinion? And what are you applying about that I am not ready for?

It's the nature of the beast James. Some folks here on the Hog just want to find something to whine about. Personally, I find your thread quite interesting and the opinions expressed by our fellow Hogger's are varied, and diverse. That being said, put me in the #2 column. Best of luck in your endeavor.

Congrats on starting a new and innovative business. Many here are still stuck doing the same shooting for decades. I do like that your card or logo is simple and tells the whole story. I got it immediately. Good luck on your new business.

I like the first version better - cleaner - also it is more of a "logo", the second one is more of a BANNER not a logo. Logos should be as simple as possible yet get the message across "what does he do?" I do agree with a previous poster, the word "CAPTURED" is emphasized over moments. Should be CAPTURED MOMENTS by James. Fix the first logo and use that for the banner ad with the drone.

I do like the first a lot more! It's simple and that is an advantage, it is much easier recognizable and one would remember it much easier too (as to associate a name with it. While the second one is well made, it fails to deliver on those aspects, it has way to much competing elements within itself. So my vote is #1!

My bad. fiverr is who did your logo and they have watermarked their logo on their designs. I see the need to include the drone but he second logo makes it look too much like it is drone only since the camera seems to be carried by the drone, so the idea that you do other photo work is kind of lost but the name does make up for that.

I think the 2nd one is cool without any resizing or repositioning of anything.

Oh, and why? Because it states your business. The first one does nothing for you.

I prefer the first one. I find that logos that are far from square are much less versatile.

James,

If you do mainly drone photography, or simply want people to know that you specialize in it, then the second logo is the one to go with, as it implies that is what you do. I would leave the proportions of the drone/camera as they are, as the camera placement on a drone is pretty much where it is on the logo. If anything, maybe make the total size of the drone and camera a little smaller. The name of your business should be most prominent and standout first and foremost.

The first logo is good in its own right and would be the better choice if you didn't do drone photography. The only thing I would change if it was my logo, I would have "Captured Moments" together on one line and then "by James" below it, maybe adding your last name to make both lines the same length. I am saying this because it appears that the name of your photo business is "Captured Moments". Having " Captured on top by itself, as others have said, does seem to imply something else. But I do think different people may still recognize that it means moments captured by the art of photography.

For the Hogs that don't know and questioned what "Fiverr" is, it is a freelance design service, and the "Fiverr' and ® symbol belong to the freelance service and will be removed on the final design.

Good luck to you on your photo business.

You have the future in your hands drones and video. Play it for all its worth.

I like the second one. The only thing that I would suggest would be to put a camera on the right side above MOMENTS.
That would convey both types of photography you are promoting.
