Beautiful shots, Greg!

Sue, thank you for your comments. Moving further North? Will that be colder and whiter come next winter? I am as far North as I want to be anymore. When I was younger, OK. Now I am a little older and understand why so many people when the get older and smarter move to a warmer climate.

I understand. I have also been looking around for something that Brenda would consider. As of now, she will not move for any reason or thing. I know getting her to a warmer climate would help her pain and everything she has going on (her doctors and I have talked) but she was born within a mile of where we live and she will not move from here.

I hope your move goes off nice and smooth for you two, you both deserve an easy change/move.

Thanks Greg! We aren't getting professional movers, but a friend is helping who works for a moving company, and some guys from church, and our son is bringing a couple buddies up to help from Virginia, so it looks like we'll have plenty of help!

Greg, I don't know if you noticed it or not, but you have eliminated the cropping problems that existed with the 400mm + 1.4X. It had appeared to me that the relatively close distance and the extra stretch that the 400mm +1.4X offered was filling your sensor so that when you cropped them you were forced into chopping body parts. This group shows much improvement in that area. My vote is the 200mm +1.4X when shooting from the blind! Nice work!

Bob, I have been waiting for you to look here. The title is directed at you and I am surprised it took you so long to get to these photos. I like the 200mm L plus 1.4 TC III very much for the blind. It does not have IS so I actually got a tripod color for it also. I have hand held the lens by itself and taken shots at 1/1000s with f stops up to 5.6 and still got all movement stopped. Takes me back to my film days when I used to hold a 600mm lens with one of my Canon film cameras and also shot at 1/1000s. I do not remember if the AE1 went to 1/2000s but if it did I believe I would have used it. Thanks for looking and agreeing with my perspective.

A super selection of little birds and nicely shot. You certainly have the knack of capturing them.

English Brenda, it is one item that I photograph with confidence that the results will please me. By the comments I get from members like yourself, Brenda, I maybe correct. I will be getting out tomorrow for the first time in awhile. Thank you for your excellent comments.
