The trails become a gooey slippery mess, the red stuff sticks to your boots but it's still a nice place to take pictures.

Mike:
All gorgeous, especially in the download, which is a must to see all the beauty.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed them.

Beautiful shots! I'm not much of a walker so didn't see as much great stuff at Arches NP as I'd have liked to. I depend on those more agile to bring great photos to light.

Beautiful images, Mike! That little boy seems to be mimicking his grandpa in every move!

Your skies are off. You did a burn or something in 5 and the last; it might have been better to have used the quick selection tool to grab the sky under the arch in #5 and the sky in the last one. Then create a curves or brightness & contrast layer to darken and control the contrast in the selected areas. This is a good way with photos like yours. It gets a little more cumbersome when there are a lot of trees or detailed variations in the land/sky-line. Give it a shot. I hope this is helpful.

When were you in Arches? I was there two years ago and it rained also, what a mess. When did you hear that "landscape arch" collapsed? I knew a section of it fell from the inside of the arch.
