In regards to your title. In the never ending (for bird people) "which bird has the most beautiful song" debate some college student doing a study for a degree put caged Nightingales out in a area with Mockers. In a short time the mockers for a mile or so around were doing the Nightingales songs note perfect.
Near a house I owned for 20 years there was a guy with a $$$$$ customized low rider who kept his alarm set so you gave it a hard look the alarm went off. One of those that played varied tones and little snatches of songs. All the mockers started doing the car alarm sounds. The PD got him to reset the sensitivity and set it for only one alarm tone, the mockers added that tone and kept doing the others. That guy was out checking on his car a lot because he never knew if it was his alarm or the birds. The neighbors weren't too happy either, when they weren't laughing at him running out to check his "baby" again.

Great story Robert, I enjoyed it. I got the idea for the title from remembering how many times I was awoken in the middle of the night by a Mockingbird just outside my bedroom window. He/she was bound and determined to sing 100's of different songs. No two were alike and a few were very short. It was a long night I must say, but I managed a couple hours of sleep before the alarm went off. Thanks for your story and stopping by to contribute. Much obliged...

Thanks Doddy, I appreciate your visit. These birds are everywhere over here and sometimes they just won't shut up. Especially in the wee hours of the morning.
