A friend is being published in Arizona Highways in March, and I'm going to present her with a gift card. She's a Canon user. I'm wondering if anybody who shoots with Canon has a preference between these two stores?
I'm asking only because when I bought my computer monitor a couple of years ago, Adorama didn't even offer it. I realize that in terms of prices, service, and reliability, they are in a dead heat. But I'm asking to find out if one is considered stronger than the other in terms of selling Canon products. They're probably even there as well, but I just want to be sure.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
I would prefer a gas card. Sorry to the ABC's, but if thy are like me they most likely have the goods. It just seems more practical to get a loaded Visa card or what have you.

Yes, get a pre-loaded VISA that can be used anywhere. That is how Canon gives their deductions on gear you buy.
The only real difference is the colors they use on their websites ... both are great!

You're right, they are probably a dead heat in terms of product.
I prefer Adorama but probably for way different reasons than most would think. When it comes to education, Adorama kicks the pants off of B&H with their Adorama TV and Mark Wallace!!!
I would like to keep that coming and see it get even better. If I want to see a video on studio shooting, I wouldn't even waste my time at B&H.
One would think that with the millions of dollars we put into their coffers, B&H's community outreach would be a bit stronger!
My vote's for Adorama and that's why I prefer them. They will ALL take your money!!!

If she lives in Tucson like you do get her a card for Greg's Camera. It's local.
B&H they have been my store for years.
I prefer B&H. Quality is great, next day air on most and free shipping. Never had to return anything, but other reviews claim great service.

She does, and that's an idea I hadn't considered. I'm not familiar with Greg's, probably because they're on the opposite side of town.
Thanks for the suggestion, jethro.

B & H has some fine educational videos also, Wallace does a good job but B & H has good people also.

My vote is for B&H as I have used both; they have wonderful customer service, a real person on the phone and have used for many years. Adorama on the other hand sold me their brand of carbon fiber tripod, and when it didn't hold up even three years, wouldn't discuss repair or replacement! The customer service woman said I could check repair shops in my area. I was NOT impressed with her attitude. If I can't buy local, B&H will get my business.
With a VISA Gift Card it gives them the choice, most of the time, I use my Amex, to gain double the manufacture Waranty.
I would never use a GC, for any electronic purchase.
I had an Apple IPad lock up, after Waranty, walked out with a new one thanks to Amex Card,
