CREATING SLIDESHOWS

I have three different slideshow programs, Movavi Slideshow creator, ProShow Producer and Adobe Elements 10. Each time
I create a slideshow with any of the programs, the images in the slideshow are not as sharp as they are in the program. I
can copy the slideshow to vimeo on the internet and the come out nice and sharp. In contacting the program makers, they
say it is because way the programs burn the slideshow to the disk. Does anyone use a program that produces the final
burned slideshow nice and sharp?????

I don't know about your programs although I have a small "trial" slideshow program, (it is useable forever), and it reduces the memory size of each photo. Reduction in size it what the mfg. uses to intices a person to purchase the pro model.
If I purchased the pro slideshow program, it would size everything as originally so everything would look as they should.

I usse Proshow Producer 8.3 for stills and video no problems, both are sharp

I looked at the Fotomagico demo on their website and was not impressed with the sharpness. I noticed the JPEGs reducing in size for the transitions but the whole program was disappointingly unsharp. They didn't sell me on their program.

I am able to see in high def. on my 27" Mac monitor. and the demo (http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/) was soft and exhibited quite a lot of JPEG artifacting. Not a good way to sell to picky photographers even if only a demo. And I am in the market for a program.

I suspected that might be the case with that Peru video, going over the web like it does. I will re-examine it downloaded. Thanks

If you are putting it on a disc you may want to considerr purchasing a Blu Ray disc burner. The pictures come out sharper on these discs. You may also want to consider putting the slideshow on a flash drive. I use Pro Show and the pictures are quite sharp, no matter the display size.
