Its a really great site that I never knew about. Thanks for posting the link.
I even have Miles Ahead as a ring tone.
I'll be sure to send them a contribution as I'm going to listen frequently.
Do you have a recommendation of a speaker (or system) to play the sounds for someone who presently just uses my computer to listen to videos, etc.?
I want to tell my wife what I want for Christmas but need a suggestion for the best way to stream the sounds from u tube videos.
Being as my good hearing is now a distant memory I need a good amount of amplification that my laptop doesn't provide.
Best
Alex

Hi Alex. Glad it hit you where you live!!
I have worn hearing aids for 40 years. I purchased a good set of headphones for listening to all sounds from my PC. It also protects my wife from invasive sounds. (we live in a condo). I leave them permanently inserted to a USB port. It makes it pleasurable for me and limits sound emanating from the PC speakers. If interested, here is info for the headset I ordered from B & H Photo. Sennheiser SE504549
SC 60 USB CTRL Binaural Headset.
Miles Ahead as a ring tone? That's very cool!! How did you do that?

And Shelly Manne ( I frequented the Mannehole in Westwood) and Stan Kenton. :)
One of my favorite albums is "My Fair Lady" with Shelly Manne & Andre Previn. So many fabulous artists frequented the West Coast. Chico Hamilton, Mulligan, Bud Shank, Bill Holman (who wrote for and played with Maynard Ferguson), Anita O'Day and Russ Freeman. Of course they all frequented the Big Apple where I was privileged to see them at Birdland, The Five Spot, Village Vanguard, Royal Roost, The Half Note, and others.
Wonderful memories. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Hearing aids, I too, they are also my biggest complaint......but I get them from Costco so at least I get some savings from having to buy them at regular aid peddlers.
My cellular company is U.S.Cellular and they have a library of tunes to pick from for ring tones. I misspoke in my last msg. as the actual song I use for a ring tone is Milestones, its on the Miles Ahead album.
The last time I changed phones US Cellular didn't have Milestones in their itunes library so when I called them up the rep. did some research and sent me a path that he used to get the song onto iTunes and I used that to add it to my phone which is an I phone 6s.
Send me your e-mail address and I'll fwd. the e-mail US Cellular sent me describing the steps he went thru to get the song onto iTunes which is where US Cellular has the extra ring tones. I imagine every carrier could/should allow the same ring tone system.

Hi Again,
Milestones is a great a CD. I converted it (ripped) to mp3 files. I'll check out how to make it a ring tone, in addition to reading your assist. My aids cost $7000 three years ago. About the 7th pair I've had. I am eligible for Veteran's benefits, but I have never applied. Lazy??? I like my audiologist, so I put up with the inordinate expense. At least I get to include it, along with my Med expenses, on tax returns.
Thanks,
Mark
