Pop up problems

I have a Mac Book pro. Out of the blue on Friday I started getting all of these pop-ups and unrequested ads. Constant interference. I downloaded from Chrome Extensions a few of their ad blockers. Some help but not 100%.
This is the first time this has happened. I did find some stuff from Mac cleaner and deleted that but there are others. Any suggestions???

I had that happen to me (Windows 8) when it was brand new. Seems there's an ad virus out there. One of my geek friends fixed it for me. Then it happened again and I was able to fix it myself. But I can't remember how. I think if you google "ad virus" (from another computer maybe) you can find the steps to fix this.
