The left has no clue what will happen, but I am sure the President will blame the GOP and anyone else he doesn't like. It should be called entry level wage, not minimum wage anyways.

$15 an hour minimum wage, mandatory sick leave, family leave, guaranteed length of shifts, etc. These are all turning employees into liabilities, and one of the biggest rules of business is to reduce or eliminate liabilities. McDonalds has had robotic cooking capabilities for years, but has shied away from using them because of the way it would make them look. But now, with others looking to go the same way, they will start implementing it at some point. Operations like Chili's have started to put tablet computers on the tables for customers to use to place their orders. That will eventually reduce the size of the waite staff. The end result a high minimum wage and other mandatory benefits for lower end jobs will be a combination of lost jobs and higher prices while probably increasing profits for the businesses. It will also make it harder and harder for the small businesses to survive because they will not be able to afford to implement the automation that the big guys will have, putting them in the position of having higher operating costs than their bigger competitors and, eventually, putting them out of business.

Don't think so, JackInTheBox.
Maybe we can go back to sweatshops.
