Bike out by the drive and my second set of Robins. I wounded if Mom missed me giving her worms? :):) Looks like sure is doing a good job tho. But I did give her 8 worms tonight in the bowl.:)
I wonder how common it is for birds to have a second hatching. I read of some bluebirds doing same. Glad you could assist!

I think she is the same Mom. She is not afraid of me at all. Comes down to get the worms almost before I set down the bowl of worms for her.:)

Once upon a time I snapped a similar shot of some baby birds outside our patio door when we lived in Colorado. They were a bit older than yours when I did it & all freaked out when my flash went off! (oops...sorry!) They immediately went into their 1st flying lesson & to this day I'm still not sure if it was their last!! Bob

LOL! I am sure Mom took care of them Bob. The first nest I had here this spring. I was always looking at them and taking pictures. And even the Mom didn't mind to much. But I was bring her worms when they started eating. I think this is the same Mom. But I have stayed back on this one. When we left they were all still eggs.:) But Mom still likes my bowl of worms I have been giving her.:):)

Many species will have two broods each year. But it is dependent on several factors such as the time of year, food availability, a suitable mate being present, the age and health of the bird, whether the previous nesting attempt failed, and the bird's location.
My bluebirds second brood is about a week old now. Have five cute babies growing bigger every day. Only thing is, I can't take any photos of them because it keeps raining nonstop!!
