Had a couple jets fly low over the house on their way to a flyover of the nearby lake. Scared the heck out of my little girl!!!

Nice job on the photoshop edit. I think Robin Olds could actually have flown it at that altitude!!

Yes..Perhaps Olds is on the hunt for more Migs...Low flyover's can definitely be frightening. I can understand how that would scare your little girl. If that is her picture she is adorable!!! Thanks for the PS compliment!!

Between WWII and Vietnam, Olds was a triple ace. He had four in Vietnam and had several opportunities for his fifth, but had been told that once he got his fifth he'd be shipped back to the States. In order to stay in Vietnam and in his Command, he skipped being a Vietnam ace.

I have had them fly over me while fishing. So low they kicked up a rooster tail. It earned them the one finger salute.

As a pilot and prior military I would have gladly returned your salute!

I did feel like the officer in the control tower drinking his coffee in Top Gun but I didn't cuss or shoot the bird.

My Dad retired a Lt. Col. from the Air Force Reserve. He wasn't a pilot, though, due to being knocked out for five hours after falling on his head in a h.s. basketball game. So, no flipping the bird for me.

My Father was stationed at March AFB when General Olds was the CG. I heard he was tough, but fair. Even though March AFB has been converted to a Reserve Base, the golf course remains named after him.
