I found these caves by Kanopolis, Kansas. They were carved into a sandstone cliff by a miner in 1884. Over the years they were used as a home, school, and blacksmith shop. They had a natural spring flowing from one of the caves that could be used for refrigeration.

There are some beautiful areas to explore in and around Kanopolis State Park in Kansas. There are natural caves, high cliffs, streams with bever dams and much more.
