PASS IT ON!! A post from the Obamacare Website:
"I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable." This was posted by Cheryl Arnold Orwig.
And this is just but one of the thousands of horror stories coming out of this giant boondoggle called obamacare!

JakeBrake, I'm sorry but I am having a difficult time in accepting this information.
From what I am hearing and reading, the web site is so riddled with codes that it is impossible to get all the information that is listed here. This is coming from many news agencies, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post, Fox News, etc., etc., left, right, in between and even some of the people who supported the ACA in the beginning.
There are many different statements on just how many lines of code that will need to be corrected before anyone can get the full information of an insurance policy. Some say millions, some say 5 million and some say more than 5 million. Most all news agencies agree that it will take many months if not years to "fix" the problems with the 640 MILLION dollar implementation of the web site.
I do not want to offend, but its hard for me to accept this as coming from the web site. If the writer went to an office and filled out the information, then I could accept what they are saying and I would agree with the comment on just what the ACA is doing to the American People!
Thanks for sharing the post with us!
YOU are right-That is not true. I don't like the Obamacare, but there is too much crap like that going around. People should be checking things out before forwarding the e-mail to all friends and family.

Good catch! Hopefully, this will prevent my email inbox from being choked with yet another urban legend.

You are welcome. I Snoped, Truth or Fictioned, and googled it and couldn't find it disproved, so I merely posted it for discussion. I have heard other horror stories coming from the talking heads as well. Thanks

Well, my goodness, this was a Facebook post so it MUST be true and factual, no?  If the OP had prefaced the statement with a line that it had come from Facebook, I wouldn't have wasted my time with it. Just sayin'...

Well, it came in handy. I had not seen it but I'm sure I would have! I blasted it out my list with the link to Politifact. That *should* preempt a bunch with the same thing.
I believe you are right and I'm not for Obamacare either. But I did receive a letter from the VA stating that the fee is 1% in 2014, 2% in 2015 then 2.5% 2016 of your reported taxable income or some flat rate starting at $95 in 2014 with goes up each year until 2016, whichever is greater. I can't remember the exact amounts but it's something like $95, $295, $595. This is for each person or dependent too so if you have a household of 5 family members this could cost them $2975 flat rate in 2016 or 2.5% of their income whichever is higher. This may have a real impact on how many kids people plan to have in the future.
