After spending two day in Berlin, Oh, the one thing I noticed about Berlin was that the Amish were always in motion.

A panned shot of an Amish Girl. I never realized how diverse the buggy's were.

Lovely shot. I feel the image was difficult to capture but you did a great job!

I saw a few of these. Seemed to be more for the younger generation.

I'm sure that the Amish make improvements on their original prototypes, just like all of us. This looks like someone took a bike(or two)plus some extra parts and reconstructed them into a sturdy onesie.
Seems like sitting ON the horse would work just as well.
Interesting photo.

Some luck involved to get the shot. Took me a few tries. I took 4 of the girl passing by for this one. The best of the bunch.

I think sitting on a horse works too. Only two problems:
1) The ride in the cart is a lot easier on the bottom
2) This was a two seater. That's a bit difficult to put two on a horse.

I saw a few of these buggies but I didn't see two that were alike.

Great shot, Russ. As usual. The Amish breed some of the finest draft and standardbred race horses in the world. A sight to see. Beautiful photo! Thanks!

The horse had some natural edge light around the body. I think that was the main reason I liked this photo. Light was being clipped by the building behind.

Thanks MagicRay. This photo is a bit different for me.
Besides the light I like the fact I got the Horse and girl fairly sharp with the motion in the horses legs.

Another winning shot. I like the lighting most of all, but also interested to see the sulky. It resembles those using in harness racing, not clearly not the same thing.

I agree. Before people consider to call themselves 'professionals' they should look at the work Russ, CaptainC and other 'true' professionals on the UHH do.
