I just posted to the same review about 4 minutes before you. I was able to get the software for free as I have been a Nik customer for a long time...It's well worth the cost even if you can't get it for free...

Do you need Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to use NIK?
Does work as standalone?

Won't work as a standalone....You need Lightroom, Photoshop, Aperture or Photoshop Elements...

Thanks, I downloaded a trial after your topic. I have Lightroom 3.
Really interested about the Silver Efex Pro 2. Did some digital BW for the first time last week, but just used Picasa.

The article states: "If you previously bought any of these plugins, Google isn’t going to leave you in the cold for already having dropped a lot of money. If you purchased any individual plugin within the last five years, you get the entire collection for free. If you spent more than $149 on plugins since February 22nd of this year, you’ll be refunded the difference."

You should go to the http://www.niksoftware.com/ website and inquire about this.

You should be getting an e-mail with the link to download the Nik Collection (Windows and Mac). I got mine this morning.

I downloaded, now my Fusion is gone to use Topaz in LR. Bummer, I don't know how to fix it.

The newly released Nik collection from Google does not list Paint Shop Pro as being compatible (older Nik plugins may have been compatible though)

...and if you're thinking of buying search the net for discount codes because NIK are honouring them as we'll....usually gives you an extra 15% on top of the already good price discount NIK have just introduced, or should that be google

DZISER or RMARTINSEN work. Brings price down to $126.65.
