I don't think the two paragraphs are racist. It appears to be a historical accounting of the battle of Bunker Hill in the first paragraph and then a revision in the second. Pointing out that black men served willingly in battle is not racist.

Can you please tell me when "having access to health care" became equivalent with the government dictating what health care insurance we must buy? And of course, since I have the arrogance to suggest that I would like to "take back" the country from the policies of this administration, I am a traitor and one of a number of "racist embeciles who simply are upset that a black man far more intelligent then them is their president (and Commander in Chief)." Sir, there are so many things wrong in you post I don't know if I can respond to all of them but let me try. If you are going to make statements denigrating other people's intelligence, you might want to use the correct form of words and correct spelling. For example, in your phrase "far more intelligent then them" you should have said "far more intelligent than them". If you wanted to call people like me stupid, you might want to call them imbeciles, not embeciles. One last spelling correction, if you are describing detaining someone in jail or prison, the word is incarcerated, not encarcerated.
Now, as to the never speaking up when a conservative Republican did wrong, I did speak up about many things George Bush did (as did many conservatives). Yes, I voted for him but I did not agree with him on everything. Another thing you are wrong on is Bush isn't now and never was a conservative. George Bush was a moderate who spent too much trying to play nice with the Democrats. Setting that aside, you need to compare apples to apples. The only thing Obama did that was similar to things Bush did was the drone program. I approved of things Bush did to fight terrorists and I have agreed to things Obama has done (killing bin Ladin and the drone program are two examples). The bottom line is conservatives like me still believe the government dictating so much to the American people about their healthcare is contrary to the Constitution (Justice Robert's contorted ruling notwithstanding). Finally, I'd like to point out that the majority of this country is center right, has been for decades and will probably continue to be so for decades to come. Obama didn't win reelection because he represents the majority of this country. He won reelection because he is an excellent campaigner and he had the help of a liberal press.

They don't see it as history. On the contrary, they see what's happening today and see similarities in the story. They realize that the story is demonstrating what can happen when the government gets too powerful.

Maybe your just being practical.

A local TV news channel was trying to show crowd reactions on election night. They went to the Obama headquarters to do some on the spot interviews. There was a long line of people getting checks. When the first three people in line were interviewed they did not know who Obama was, they said they came in and voted to get the money. The interview camera mysteriously broke down at that point and nothing else was shown.

Before I start getting flack, understand this is what I saw with my eyes on election night. Since nothing else appeared on any other station or in the news paper I have no way of verifing if what appeared to be going on was what was going on. Most of the people I talked to that saw it just shrugged their shoulders and said it was politics as usual in this area.
