What do you use for carrying cameras with long/hevy lenses?

I use the OpTech Pro Loop Straps for my D800's with long lenses, including the Sigma 150-500mm zoom. I also use the OpTech Double Sling when I need to carry two bodies with lenses on them. Both straps are extremely comfortable to wear and quite reasonably priced. And they are made in the USA of USA components!

The best way to carry heavy cameras is to use a harness. The straps straddle your shoulders and the weight is distributed without causing the pain of cameras slung over one shoulder. Several are available from £12 to £100+. I use the cheapest type and can carry a Nikon D300 with Tamron 20-370 all day. I am 85 years old.

I bought an FS-PRO from here; http://www.carryspeed.com last week liked it so much I bought a second one yesterday. They have a 30% Trade your Old Strap promotion but you dont have to send anything to them.

I use the Op/Tech Bino/Cam harness, and until the mailman comes with a little parcel, my hand to support the lens while I'm walking.
I've ordered the Lens Support Adapter. Looks like it could be a bit awkward as pictures, but I figured for $11 I could take the risk.

Will report back once I've received and used it.

I am crazy happy with my Cary Speed ! My D300s w/Tokina 11-16,battery grip, and 2 mounting plates makes a conventional strap way too uncomfortable. Go Cary Speed

I haven't found one that will want to go where and when I go and stay as long as I want. Are you applying for the job? If so, you must pay your own expenses.

Do you hook it to the lens or to your Sigma?

So far I have the OpTech on the camera and left the strap that came with the Sigma on it. I usually don't use the camera strap with the Sigma attached. I usually cradle it instead with the strap as drop insurance.

I use Upstrap. It is an incredible product, the company personnel are incredible, the service is incredible. I'm about to purchase my second one for another camera I carry quite often, as of late.

Carryspeed.com, they have it all. Would not trade mine for anything...
