Am just getting into video on my D800 and hope you keep this section going. I can see there aren't a lot of posts, but with Christmas here maybe more people will get into video??? Thanks, I've already found it helpful.

As the one who suggested this forum and as its moderator, I'm not sure what the "section test" implies, but was pleased to see you've found it helpful so far.
Looking forward to continuing it presence here and hope to continue posting related tips as I encounter them. Baby steps into 2013.
Thanks for posting.

IS THAT IN YOUR AVATAR? WHAT ARE YOU FLYING. DU YOU DO VIDEO AND STILLS FROM THE PLANE?
AIR BOSS 1
I'm sitting in the cockpit of one of Cathay Pacific's (CX) new 747-400 ERF. I used to fly big aircraft with the Air Force. Now I have a company that services aircraft and customers like CX and that airplane at airports around the country. Jack
Thanks Jack
Its about as big as it can get. Need less to say you don't shoot aerials stills or video from your plane.
The photo is an inflight photo of my cockpit as you can see it has:
a key for starting, red line light, fuel gauge , Engine Information Center
with full array of info like rpm, water temp., altitude above the take off field, engine gas temp and more. Also have an air radio and com box to passenger. what you don't see is the moving map GPS, that is worn around my neck. No air conditioning its all open, heat we turn into the sun. We steer with our feet so we can do other things with our hands like put them in our pockets to keep warm, change channels on the radio or use the camera.
The second photo is about as far as I want to go out over the water.
The next photo is pilot and flight crew.
The last if I can attach it is of course an air to air photo.

I flew in one of those over the Panama Canal from Albrook to Howard AB and landed on a field outside the HQ. what a thrill!
