St Pauls Cathedral is a beautiful old church on the corner of Swanston and Flinders St in Melbourne, Australia.
This is a three exposure (-2,0,+2) merge using Photomatix.

A very nice piece of work. HDR is all about light and you have shown a wonderful control of the light available to you. But what I particularly enjoy is the very precise way that you have ensured the symmetry is right and the horizontals and verticals are spot on, not easy from the angle you are working at. There is a slight distortion where the closest columns on the right and left seem to be turned outwards but I presume this is a consequence of getting the verticals right. But its done so well that I find it in no way distracting. This is a stunning shot. A Cathedral is meant to be bathed in glowing light and you certainly have made that happen. Many thanks for sharing. Well done

Peter.

Wow.

There may be some minor flaw-- but I'm not seeing it. I've been in many cathedrals in Europe-- but this was before digital-- so I'm happy to see an interior.

Exquisite.

Just one word, phenomenal.
I could look at this all day and see new detail.

That's one of the two best HDR photos I've seen. The other needed 9 photos to make. Brilliant!

Thanks all for the great comments and positive feedback.

Mike, if this is one of your favourite two HDRs, I'd love to know what the other one was.

Ah.... Now I see what I missed. Thanks for pointing it out. I have a lot to learn about things to look for "post HDR".

Andrew - I'm sorry I can't find it. But it was the interior of a hall with very bright windows, tables with reflections on them and an otherwise much darker interior. The scene was fairly dark but seemed to be just as it would appear. The reason I liked it is that nothing was overdone and the photo was really understated. Two other things - firstly it is now one of my THREE favourites. And secondly I haven't seen them all.
