Bought this bush when it was a tiny thing some years ago.
I was raised in Alabama and had one anout 8-10 feet tall outside my bedroom window. I'm OLD so that was before air conditioners at our house and I slept with the window open and OH the aroma that floated through that window will never be forgotten. I have a Gardenia here in Tn but we have to bring it inside for the winter. Every year, I break off some pieces and root them for friends
Yes! They do have a wonderful aroma! Neighbors driving in and out of my s/d, would make comments about their magnificent smell. I simply love...love them. I somethings cut and bring in and place in vases throughout the house.

I do the same. The problem with mine is that I have to keep mine trimmed small so I can bring it inside for the winter. I take the cuttings and root them. Then I keep a bundle for myself in case the main busg were to die. I will NOT be without one!

Yes, Colo, about the same. A lot like Jasmine and Lemon blossoms too. I wish I had some of all, but living in Tn, I'd have to bring them ALL inside!
Gorgeous to look at, wonderful aroma, lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Mine will have to stay inside as well, even during the summer months. The sun is much to hot for them. I had my First Gardenia when i turned 16 and went to the prom. I was hooked after that.

Mine stay outside in the summer, but I put them at the north end of the house where they get a couple of hours of morning sun, no afternoon sun at all
