That is called a palindrome. Palindromes are words, phrases, or sentences that read the same forward and backward.

Just a few other examples are:

Sore was I ere I saw Eros.
A man, a plan, a canal -- Panama
Euston saw I was not Sue.
Live on evasions? No, I save no evil.
A new order began, a more Roman age bred Rowena.
Egad! Loretta has Adams as mad as a hatter. Old age!
Noel sees Leon.
Bob: "Did Anna peep?" Anna: "Did Bob?"
Sex at noon taxes.
Madam, I'm Adam.

A palindrome can be one or more words, "radar" IS a palindrome.
