Abandoned to Mother Nature's mercy....

A few days ago, I posted a B&W series of this same location - Strawn's citrus packing house in De Leon Springs, FL. I enjoyed working on the B&W images and it was a learning experience but I decided to show a color series as well. Some of these are different shots, some are the same except for color. In some cases I prefer the color but some may have been at their best in B&W. I do know that color gives a whole different feel.

Mother Nature is slowly reclaiming....
Anything in the buildings?

An HDR effect might give a different feel too.

Thank you, Mike. I'm ready to move on from this shoot. Seems like I've been tinkering with it forever!

The vines are taking over. One day, the building won't even be visible. I wasn't able to go on the property. It is fenced and posted and the gate was locked. I have seen shots of the interiors and there is a lot of stuff left inside. It has been vandalized and pillaged but I still want to go in if I get the chance.

The day I was there it was very wet. In fact I was in light rain most of the time and standing in water as well. Another visit I would like spend more time and shoot some exposure brackets for HDR. I agree that it might well add a lot.

I like the single window image most.

Thank you, Angela. This place is on a designated historic site but I guess there is no money to restore and preserve it.
