The glass on each lens looks flawless to my eye. The barrels have minor marks.

Sure, PayPal is fine. You are aware these are screw mount lenses? Also, though the camera (with a fresh battery I added) appears to work properly, I have not tried it as I don’t have film. The lenses will work manually on digital cameras with the appropriate screw mount adapter. Private message me on the UHH for my PayPal info and send your address.

Thanks,

Ken

I’m not so sure. The guy that said he would take them has not responded today and appears to have just joined the UHH shortly after I posted the listing. No address, location listed by the UHH as “in hiding.”

If you want this equipment I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Let me know. If I don’t hear from him today I’ll be back to you.

Thanks,

Ken

Just so you guys know, I'm trying to get back into film photography. The body I'm intending on using these lenses with is a black Pentax Spotmatic F. I bought it in Japan in 1976 as a present for my father, who, while I was in Japan, suffered a break in and all his camera equipment was stolen. Among the losses was a Kodak Retina Reflex and a Tessina. The Tessina was a tiny twin lens reflex. I don't know that Dad ever took many pictures with it, and I'm betting the thieves didn't know anything about it. But I was saddened and figured I'd do something nice for him.

After I got back (1976) he took some photos, but mostly it sat because the shutter jammed and nobody knew how to fix it. I ended up with it after he passed away some 12 years ago, and found that the lens focus was not turning at all. I have disassembled the lens, but the focus mechanism will. not. turn. It is as if it is glued together.

If anyone has any advice on how to free it up, please let me know. In the meantime, thanks to Ken, I'll be able to get that camera going again, and have a more complete lens kit to boot!

Oh yes, and I have unjammed the shutter, and there's a few other things to clean up as well. Seems there is something around the eyepiece, and a little body fungus to clean up. Seems the shutter, while it sounds like it works fine, has a curtain with strange fungus on it as well. I might have to replace that; we'll see what happens when I try and clean it up as well.

Anyway, take care everyone, and hopefully I'll have some interesting items to post soon.

Cheers,

PH

PH, if you want that Spotmatic to look and perform like new, invest in an overhaul performed by Eric Hendrickson in Knoxville, TN. Check out http://pentaxs.com/ and you can contact him at pentaxrepairs@aol.com. Eric has CLA'd five of my Pentax cameras from a KM through a ME Super and has returned a camera that is a pleasure to use. He may do lenses too although I haven't sent him any. You'll get back a camera that will serve you for many, many years for what I consider a nominal amount of money for a working classic camera like those vintage Pentax SLRs.
